Labor Day Weekend

While everyone else was doing #Laboracay, I was in Anvaya Cove in Bataan for Labor day weekend. It was kind of a spontaneous and out of the blue trip for me, since my friend invited me a few days before the trip.

The place is near Subic and the last time I’ve been to Subic was freshmen year in highschool! I’ve always liked Subic and been interested in it. Anvaya is a little hidden so the ride was quite long especially during the NLEX traffic.

The place is beautiful! I admit, I’m not a beach person, but the area was just clean and perfect so I cannot complain.

Their pools are excellent and well-kept, plus the shower rooms are complete! We did night swimming by the pool in the second day, but we swam at the Gamer’s Area pool rather than the one near the beach. The first photo is where we swam.

Their food is delicious! For our first night we ate in Pawikan which is by the beach. The servings were huge and so filling. I had the chicken barbecue and it was good, but my favorite is the Pomelo Prawn salad!

Besides swimming, they have other activities like badminton, basketball, a nature trail, biking, and golf. There was a zip line and I’ve been trying to try it in forever and never had the chance to. We signed up for the zip line and it was so scary for me and also exciting!

To go to the zip line, there’s a bit of a trail and a hanging bridge you need to walk up to. It wasn’t so bad because I did all right and I was just wearing my Jesus sandals. If it wasn’t scorching hot the hike might’ve been easier. We didn’t bring a camera so we weren’t able to take a picture of the majestic view when you reach top. It was super beautiful though!

This was me on the zip line! I was so scared and nervous before I went and during the ride I was so paranoid that the line was uneven but by the end the surge of adrenaline rush is incredible! I’m so glad I was able to try zip lining even if this is the first and last time. It’s definitely an experience worth trying!

The whole weekend was exactly what I needed. I spent it with a friend, did lots of fun things, tried something new, and binged on delicious food. Definitely a Labor Day weekend for the books!
