It was my birthday last Friday! I decided to take a birthday leave from work due to personal stuff, but I was in the city the whole day.
I love celebrating my birthday but I’m not the type who’s big on actual celebrations. I like lowkey stuff like dinners — kinda celebrating it like a normal day, but I do enjoy basking in the love I get from people on that day.
I managed to squeeze in a quick lunch with a friend in Wildflour, BGC. As I mentioned in my other post, I love Wildflour! I love their bread so deciding what to eat there can be kinda difficult. We ordered Squid ink bucatini pasta (per my friend’s suggestion), parmesan churros and my usual hazelnut hot chocolate but iced. 🙂
The squid bucatini is a wonderful piece of art! Not to mention I’m crazy for seafood, especially shrimp so I am super happy!
I got done with my personal errands at the end of the day so I went to the office and we decided to eat in Chili’s. Chili’s is another one of those places that I don’t get the chance to always eat at, but when I do, it’s always a wonderful experie
nce.
The corn for the chicken crispers is super tasty!! That might be my most favorite out of all that we ate.
Payday Fri-yay so we went ahead for some drink
s also.
I’m not a drinker, but I managed to almost finish a whole glass of long island iced tea and about 1/8th of the fancy margarita.
And when you celebrate your birthday in Chili’s… you get a special surprise!
I drowned in so much good food and company that I can say the day is definitely well spent!
It’s been 22 years of being #blessed and I know there’s more to come!
