The motorcycle industry is on the rise, and by 2015, the Philippines reported 850K motorcycle and scooters sold in the country, with scooters gaining steady increase on YoY sales because of its affordability and compact size – allowing it to breeze through city traffic easily. To meet the demand and ensure that our customer’s scooters are getting the best care, Shell Advance released its new line of engine oil products specifically for scooters.
The launch coincided with one of Shell’s biggest annual events: the Shell Eco-Marathon. In partnership with our Eco-marathon organizers, we created a unique launch experience for our riders.
We partnered with five scooter groups and performed a free change oil of Shell Advance products and afterwards, they were able to go around the Shell Eco-marathon track to experience the difference of using Shell Advance products. After the experience, riders were given an early access to the Eco-marathon booths. Simultaneously, the press launch happened in the Manila Hotel in the afternoon.
